The Hydrogeology research program investigates pressing groundwater problems that affect human and environmental health and the sustainable management of groundwater resources.  Current research is focused on advancing the state-of-the-art in the solution of complex, hydrogeologic problems, on utilizing interdisciplinary research teams to address these problems, and on developing innovative products that convey data, results and insights to researchers, consultants and decision makers.  Hydrogeology service programs provide expert assistance in identifying aquifer resources that can meet the needs of individual users, and in helping water well drillers anticipate and identify target geologic deposits.  Assistance is provided to users with needs ranging from domestic to high-capacity supplies.
