Illinois Oil and Gas Resources Interactive Map
The Illinois Oil and Gas Resources mapping project enables on-line access to a large database of over 200,000 Illinois oil and gas well records. This database has been in development for many years by the Illinois State Geological Survey. Traditionally, these well records have only been available during regular business hours at the Geological Records Unit in Champaign, Illinois.
In addition to oil and gas records from the ISGS wells database, users can view other data layers like producing horizons, samples, core analysis data, structure contours, waterflood areas, and oil fields. Through these layers the application also provides access to other resources including well summary sheets, logs, scout check tickets, core analysis reports, and oil field statistics.
