The Illinois Oil and Gas Well Data Web mapping project enables on-line access to a large database of over 170,000 Illinois oil and gas well records. This database has been in development for many years by the Illinois State Geological Survey. Traditionally, these well records have only been available during regular business hours at the Geological Records Unit in Champaign, Illinois.
