Provides computer hardware and software support for staff.
Manages the internal IT request system including receiving and logging user requests, determining priority, and assigning tasks to IT team members.
Resolves complex PC software and hardware problems including drivers, utilities, applications, power supplies, CDs, disk drives, video and network subsystems, tape drives, printers, plotters, scanners and backup systems.
Resolves problems involving software and network interaction such as Internet access, file and print sharing, email and other groupware applications.
Establishes and maintains documentation standards for new and existing applications.
Monitors compliance with copyright laws, license agreements, and other related regulations.
Provides evaluations and advice on current software and hardware trends.
Serves as staff consultant to users.
Maintains current software installs by tracking version upgrades and patches, testing for compatibility, and developing new procedures as needed.
Installs and configures network applications such as file and print sharing, Internet access, email and network calendar as directed.
